Better than expected
The photos do not do it justice. We spent far longer here than we planned to. Travelling with two children, which is the real test.

About this experience
Collect the car at the downtown depot — no shuttle, no queue at a remote lot — and drop it back at the same desk. The rate includes unlimited mileage, third-party liability, a collision damage waiver with a stated excess, and a second driver at no extra cost. Hire runs from 4 to 27 days, and the estate car class takes 5 people and 4 suitcases, which is the right size for London and the roads out of it.

Pleasant but busy
Good value, though the timing was tight and we felt a bit rushed at the end. Travelled on my own and had no trouble at all.

Good, with caveats
Decent. The main attraction was excellent; the rest felt like filler. Booked it around a work trip and it worked out well.

Excellent
Smooth from start to finish. No queues, no confusion, and the guide knew the area inside out. Travelling with two children, which is the real test.
